The Story
Judy
Kharis
Christian music artist, worship minister, and vessel of encounter — on a mission to carry Grace and Glory to the nations.
The Journey
From Takoradi to the Nations
Judy Kharis was born and raised in Takoradi, Ghana, in a home filled with love, faith, and music. From childhood, music surrounded her long before she understood its significance. Her older sister intentionally introduced her and her cousins to singing, gathering them to learn songs together. At the time, Judy often complained, preferring to run outside and play. Yet, over time, the melodies filling her home quietly took root in her heart.
From Alvin Slaughter to CeCe Winans, the cassettes she discovered around the house became part of the soundtrack of her childhood. Years later, she realized those moments were not accidental, but seeds carefully planted through her sister’s love for worship. Her mother sang hymns and choral songs around the home, while her father whistled unconventional melodies that lingered in the air.
As she grew older, the walls of her home became her first audience, and music slowly became the language of her soul. She composed little songs about everyday moments, unknowingly nurturing the gift that would later become both her ministry and calling worldwide.

Ministry
A Life of Encounter
For Judy, worship is far more than performance — it is ministry. She believes every song, every chord, and every moment on stage is an opportunity to lead people into an encounter with the living God.
Over the years, she has learned from mentors and worship leaders whose lives reflected humility, surrender, and childlike devotion. Those experiences shaped her understanding that the gift itself should never be the focus, but rather an instrument that amplifies the heart behind it.
Judy has ministered at youth conferences, women’s gatherings, revival meetings, church services, and worship events across Ghana, the United Kingdom, and Norway. Wherever she ministers, her prayer remains the same: that the name of Jesus would be glorified and hearts drawn closer to Him through worship.

Musical Inspiration
Sounds That Shaped a Sound
Judy's musical palette is rich and inviting. She draws from the deep wells of African, Ghanaian gospel, the diversity of jazz, the intimacy of contemporary worship, and the raw honesty of modern Christian music. Artists like Cindy Thompson, Cece Winans, Sinach, Ntokozo Mbabo, William McDowell, Nathaniel Bassey and Hillsong Worship have been formative voices in her journey.
But above all, her greatest inspiration comes from Scripture and life itself. Many of her songs are born from moments of personal reflection — a verse that comes alive, a phrase that becomes a melody, a truth that demands to be sung.
Her sound is described as "refreshing worship" — vast, heartfelt, and deeply Spirit-filled. Every production choice — the arrangement, the dynamics, the space — is intentional, designed to create room for freedom and encounter.

Vision & Mission
Grace, Glory, and Encounter
Judy's vision is singular: to be a vessel through which God's presence touches the earth. Her mission is to create music that transcends denominational walls, crosses cultural boundaries, and speaks to the universal longing in every human heart for the divine.
She envisions a generation of worshippers who are not just singing songs but genuinely meeting with God — changed, healed, and commissioned. Her music is an invitation to that encounter.
"I don't want people to leave my concerts having just heard good music. I want them to leave having touched the hem of His garment." — Judy Kharis
